Korean Recipes

Hello everyone! Please post your recipes for Korean food as a comment to this message. Soon, I'll make you all contributors to this blog so you can make your own posts!

  1. Name of food > 부대(BooDae)찌개 (Kind of stew)

    Ingredients > Kimchi, Spam(ham), dumplings(만두), onions, (canned)peas, Ramyeon(instant noodle), a red pepper, a green onion, a crown daisy(쑥갓), anchovy stock(멸치국물?)

    Flavoring(양념장) > hot pepper paste, powdered red pepper, chopped garlic, soy sauce, powdered ginger, black pepper

    How to make ?
    1. Cut the vegetables.
    - Onion cut like long shape and red pepper and green onion cuts smaller than onion.
    2. Put the Kimchi and flavoring, now boil 10 minutes.
    -Put the Kimchi in anchovy stock and add flavoring, boil ten minutes again.
    3. Put the left ingredients and boil.
    - Putting spam, ham, dumplings, onion, canned peas and boiling five minutes.
    4. Put the chapped red pepper and green onion, finish soon !
    - Putting chapped red pepper and green onion.
    Just before you eat, decorate with crown daisy.

    Kimchi is Korean food~ and Kimchi Jjigae is Korean soap ^^*

    2. slice the lettuce, tuna, kimchi, some vegetable, and so on
    3. the water is boiling, put on the lettuce, tuna, kimchi, some vegetable
    4. after that It's boililng, we enjoy eatting with rice !!

  5. DDUCK-BBOCK-GI
    Ingredients : rice cake, korean chili sauce, powdered red pepper, soy sauce, sugar, some water.

    1. just leave some rice cakes in a bowl with some water to make them soft.
    2. pick up the rice cakes from the bowl and then put a frypan with some korean chili sauce, sugar, water, soy sauce and then boil down all together.
    3. if you like fish cakes and cabbages, just add them before boil down completely.
    4. add boiled eggs if you want.
    5. now, we can enjoy them.

    a few days later, i will cook this one, but we can not buy rice cakes in richmond. so, i will cook with some pasta instead of rice cakes.

    -Ingredient : chicken, vegetables(carrots,potatos,freen onions,rice cakes,sweet potatos,pepper), chinese noodles,pot,soy sauce.
    -How to make
    1.Cut up the chicken to eat easily
    2.Peel the carrots, potatos and sweet potatos
    3.Chop the vegetables:cut the potatos and sweet potatos piece by piece
    4.Boil the chicken with soy sauce in the big pot
    5.Add the vegetables, chinese noodles and rice cakes:Red pepper makes the food more spicy
    6.Simmer
    7.Now we can eat it
    -There aremany kinds of steamed chicken
    Basically soy sauce steamed chicken. It called An-dong steamed chicken and vegetable steamed chicken. This one is a little spicy and marine products steamed chicken. There are many marine products. People who want to eat chicken and marine products at once choose this one.
    -Normality, They ordered steamed chicken with rice.mix rice with steamed chicken soup.
    it's very delicious!
    -I think steamed chicken is very good at health.
    we take ingest many nutrition in at once.

    *ingredients: cow's spine, salt, soy sorce, powdered black pepper, green onions, some noddles, rice

    1.buy some cow's spine and pouring cow's bone and much water.
    2.boiling them as long as you can.(10 hours)
    3.add some salt, soy sorce and powdered black pepper.
    4.and poring bowl and add some green onions and some noddle and rice.
    5.now you enjoy sul-lung-tang.

    *origine of sul-lung-tang
    since Chosun dinesty, many people enjoyed it.
    when they were poor, king of choeson share it.
    so king and many people ate togheter.
    so I think that is so meaningful food.

    2.then glutinous rice put in the live chicken belly.
    3.then the live chicken put in the water and garlic and a jujube, a chestnut, put in the water, too.
    4.All food must well-boil.

  12. * pan-broiled octopus recipe *
    ingredient : octopus variabilis, onion, carrot, salt, soy sauce, garlic, sugar, pepper.
    1. octopus wash with salt. Because octopus have some mud.
    2. put in the pot that is boiling salt water and take out of water quickly.
    3. take out octopus to the pot.
    4. put in only vegetables and soy sauce broil dry in pan.
    5. when vegetables are ripen. put in octopus variabilis.
    6. vegetables and octopus are broil dry.

    paste, soy , sugar, cope garlic,

    the vessel parching
    3. marinated vegetables and some octopus mix
    4. when it is done, eatting with rice

  14. Korean food RECIPE

    (Steamed Ribs)

    Ingredients: Galbi (ribs of beef), carrot, onion, potato, soy sauce, sugar, chopped garlic, salt

    HOW To Make It:
    First, wash the galbi and put in the pot.
    Pour the water in the pot and boil about 30minutes~ 1hour.
    Before galbi boil, make sauce.
    Mix with soy sauce, chopped garlic, two or three spoonful sugar and one spoonful of salt.
    After the galbi boiled, pour the sauce in the pot.
    Second, cut the carrot, onion and potato.
    And then put them in the pot.
    Last, steam the galbi about 30minutes or 1hour.
    And then, you can eat.

    In record of the Joseon Dynasty Korea, the galvi zzim was precious food.
    A court ladies are make them in order to give to King.

  15. I recommend to you "Ddeokbokki".
    Ddeokbokki is famous Korean's food for everyone.

    First, after chopping carrotes, oniones and rice cake in bite size. and then, Rice cakes mix with red sauce, soy sauce, suger and garlic. next, For the sauce sinkes in the material, waiting about 20 minutes.
    Finally, That materials boil down in pan for 30 minutes.
    then, Ddeokbokki is completed.
    That is very delicious. Give it a try!!

    Bossam is the best food for me!

    How to cook "Bossam"
    1. Steam the pork and chop thin pork.
    2. Chop the long kinchi.
    3. Rap the rettuce and pork and kimcki.
    4. eat with onion.

  17. I like "steam checken" .
    korea name is " ZZIM CHECKEN".
    It is my favorite food.
    I introduce how to make it.

    1. prepare to korea sauce "GO CHU JANG", slides carrots, noodles, chapping onion, some potatos and checken.
    2. first, you boild water and some potato
    3. GO CHU JANG , carrots, noodles, onion and checken are stream in pot.
    4. after, we eat stream checken with rice.
    because it is little spicy food.

  18. I recommen to you "doenjang jjigae / Soybean Paste Stew".
    The Korean people enjoyed the food.

    At first, steep out an anchovy.
    Chopping the green onion, onion, garlic, mushroom. If you like bean curb or patato, you have to cut off them.
    Take out of the boiling water and dissove a Doenjang.
    In the water, add the choper vegetables and powdered red pepper.
    At last, if the water is taked out of water, put in the bean curb.

  19. How to make toenjang soup
    1. Material
    toenjang, bean curd, pepper, green onion, anchovy, earthen bowl
    2. Process
    ① The water and anchovy put in the earthen bowl.
    ② It boil and the anchovy picks up.
    ③ soybean paste and the powdered red pepper put in and boil.
    ④ vegetables and bean curd put in
    ⑤ and boiling
    ⑥ Completion
